My Relaxing Sunday
I had a wonderful Sunday. I decided to try out a new church today. So I went to the mid morning service at Gateway. After receiving a great message I left the church feeling uplifted and ready to face a new work week. Then it was off to the gym to meet the 512 CrossFit coaches for our workout. The workout we battled through today was Fight Gone Bad. If you know what that WOD is you know it is just as much a mental workout as well as a physical workout. It was 18 minutes long, 3 rounds for max reps of 1 minute Summo Dead Lift High Pull, Box Jumps, Push Press, Row and Wall Bal. It is a killer. All the coaches did an amazing job in the workout. Landon and I scored our all time best scores. Landon scored 380 and I scored 302. That was my first time to score over 300 in my life! I was sooo happy. I also am so proud of Adrien, even though it was her first time to attempt the workout she pushed through the pain and finished the workout at the prescribed weight like a champ. After the workout it was off to my parent's house to visit with my family and have dinner. That was how I spent my relaxing Sunday.

Today will be a great day!
Today is an exciting day. I woke up this and stopped off at the gas station for a cup of coffee. This is daily routine at 6AM when I am on my way to Westlake for my first training appointment of the day. When I walked up to the counter I found a $5 bill on the floor. I asked around to try and get it back to it's owner, but no one claimed it, so now I have an extra $5 in my pocket. What a great way to start my morning. Today will be a great day!
Today the 512 CrossFit Coach's and I will tackel the WOD "Mary". That is AMRAP in 20 minutes of 5 pull ups, 10 push ups and 15 squats. My goal is to get 14 rounds or more in 20 minutes... Wish me luck!!!
The last thing on my mind today is that I want to say how greatful I am to have the life I have. I get to wake up every day in a warm apartment that is all my own. I get to go to work at 512 CrossFit and enjoy the company of great friends while doing what I love. And I have an amzing family supporting me through my journey of making my dreams come true... It doesn't get any better than this!!!

Training for the CrossFit games qualifier with the 512 CrossFit Coaches
The 512 CrossFit coaches and I are now in week 5 of our 2009-2010 training for the 2010 CrossFit games. We have a blast training together! In our program we train 3 days crossfit with one day active recovery and flexibility. To support our training with proper nutrition we use the zone/ paleo diet. I am very excited about today's workout. The 512 women's coaches are learning muscle ups. Muscle ups have to be the hardest exercise I have ever experienced. I am not able to get and unassisted muscle up yet, but I will very soon. Today's workout will be 30 assisted muscle ups for time. Wish me luck, my goal is to accomplish this workout in under 10 minutes!!
